“Yes, I believe I will be in town next weekend.”
Sounds good, Dave. No doubt then we’ll go back to Montero on the 30th. Maybe WonTon will join us — she said she emailed me but I didn’t get an email. Then you can meet Juaqita, (anythingbut)Shyenne, and Carmen. And, yes, as I recall, there might even be some eye candy for you.
Sorry, Legion, but they ARE! A political party that spends most of its political capital not on things that will help the country, but on being the party of “NO” is scary. So is a political party that seems to care more about what a woman is doing with her body, and what two people of the same sex are doing in their bedrooms, or whether these people want to marry each other, rather than taking care of business in a badly screwed up nation and world, is SCARY. A party that is afraid to upset the nutball fringe wing of their party, because being re-elected is more important than anything else, I find scary.
REVERSE:
“the other side is not so scary”
Sorry, Montrose, but they ARE! A political party that spends most of its political capital not on things that will help the country, but on being the party of “BIG GOVERNMENT” is scary. So is a political party that seems to care more about doling about tax payer funded abortions than discussing the complex issues of the unborn, or realizing that there is a certain population with sensitive religious issues, rather than taking care of business in a badly screwed up nation and world, is SCARY. A party that is afraid to upset the nutball fringe of their party that seeks outright anarchy, because being re-elected is more important than anything else, I find scary.
lol. i love her and all too, but her posts always just come across as charlie brown’s teacher on peanuts. you know.. wonk wonk wonk WONK wonk WONK wonk
MM, despite what I think about ll of Congress these dys, the politicians in Washington still largely get along and probably socialize quite a bit together.
The real problem is TV and Internet, where the right wing and left wing nutjobs are getting ALL the publicity.

Legion I hope you are taking some time to write when you’re not practicing medicine. You should.
“I think the Republicans should be the party of ‘no’ when it comes to tax increases and new government programs.”
Here, here. First sensible thing posted all day long.

I like Montrose Morris’s style
of debate,
it’s like getting bludgeoned with
an Unabridged Oxford Dictionary
…wraped in foam.
