CH, San Fran is a 2 season city – ie one side of a hill is sunny & warm but on other side of the hill, it’s cloudy & chilly hence why one sees that sweater & shorts combo worn by the locals
He told me he went to some town near SF where the street signs don’t say “St” or “Rd” or “Lane” or whatever. So instead of “Main St” the sign just says “Main.” Apparently there is a Gay St in the town so there is a big sign at the end of the road that just says “Gay.”
One of my kid brothers drove through SF the other day. He was living in Denver, working some shitty job for a law firm, and decided to just say fuck it all, packed up his car and started driving west. Sent pics from Wyoming, the bonneville salt flats, donner pass, then SF. He thought about sticking around and trying to settle in for a bit but then he texted me that SF is “200% yuppie and crazy expensive.” So he took a right. Next pic I got was of the “welcome to Oregon” sign. Last night he texted me that Seattle looks good, he’s gonna give that a try. I assume he’s looking for an apartment today.
Ringo, Dave, not only that, but my broker and the seller’s broker are in the SAME Corcoran office!!
My broker and I were also a bit pissed last week that the seller’s broker made the deadline for best and final so suddenly — I first saw the house Sunday, and then we went back Wednesday night, and I found out at 8pm on Wednesday that I had to have my offer in, and make sure my financing was in place, by 3pm Thursday. Seller’s broker knew I was making an over ask bid but still didn’t want to wait for me. WTF??? So this is not surprising.
Sounds good, CH. My friend lives in Twin Peaks and likes to take me to Noe Valley and Hayes Valley. Also like to hang out in Delores Park and in the Mission.
