Denton, it’s small compared to most civilian aircraft these days, but quite big for an aircraft with that kind of performance.
I never got to fly the concorde. Wish I had.
There was no engine noise at all in the cabin when the aircraft was flying supersonic – the sound was unable to catch up with the forward parts of the aircraft.
It really is a beautiful machine. Just walk around it and admire the lines sometime, and consider that a thing of such beauty looks that way because of the way shock waves operate on the airframe, not because they were trying to make it pretty. Somehow an airframe built to that standard is aesthetically pleasing to my brain even though there is simply nothing in my genome that might explain this.
Although given the new definition of “sexual relations” from our former president Clinton, maybe I don’t technically qualify!!!
