Dave, I was shocked how many work visa types I saw in Newport and Providence last summer there. I guess they all come to work in the towns with large summer tourism and then go back after 3 months or whatever. Some really want to stay and hope to find a citizen to marry.
Benson, great choice and congrats. After having an SUV, I will probably never be able to go back to a regular sedan, eventhough I really want a small convertible for the summer to mess around with. I might just buy a little used MGB or miata (GOTD?) for fun as a second car one of these days.
My friend is a car fanatic. He agrees with you that Hondas hold up there value very well. In fact, he told me that the CR-V has one of the lowest depreciation rates of any car out there. This is probably more true now since Toyota’s reputation has taken a hit.
Benson, that’s the reaason why the Honda Element is so popular with the older crowd. Honda designed it for youngsters but were surprised older folks were buying it left and right. if you got a good deal on it, that’s great cause these popular honda models usually hold value pretty well
I have a smaller SUV as well (Toyota Highlander). I agree with Kens it would be hard to switch to a sedan.
Unlike Kens, I have absolutely no desire to ever own a Miata.
Kens;
Same for me. I would love to have a small convertible for fun driving. Ah, got to get back to work so I can get there one of these days!
