perhaps the giant chain stores in soho could help a little bit by not having all their doors opening blasting ice cold air onto the streets of soho to lure in shoppers? seriously, they should be ticketed for doing that.
I just blew a circuit breaker! Which is so easy to deal with, but scared me just the same.
I’m scared witless of anything electrical and circuit breakers…and I’ll tell you why! When I was a kid we had FUSES in my parent’s house. Has anyone ever changed a cartridge fuse? You know, the ones that look like a shot gun shell?
yeah i made sure. ooooh they tried to convince me to buy an external cd drive for it so i can install the antivirus software they seriously pushing on me. i just talked to the it guy and work and he was like oh that’s so obsolete of them we can just put antivirus software from a usb drive. duh. i truly hate salespeople. they are so shady!! this is why i never buy big purchases.
Thanks for explaining, Biff. I’m guessing if ConEd left me a message, it’s on my land line since that’s the number I prolly gave them years ago, but I don’t even have a phone plugged into it anymore, only DSL.
“Thanks, Biff. Please let me know if you get another ConEd update, though. Is that something you signed up for?”
No. It was an automated message and I assume a preventative measure to try to control the number of complaints they get. Who knows, maybe they also do it to minimize the lawsuits and bad publicity if and when the elderly lose power and experience health issues or even worse…
CGar, there’s a thread about the Brownout in downtown BK.

“I’m scared witless”
I’d never call you witless, Cobble. To your face. 🙂
And, yes, I’ve changed those types of fuses.

“DH, are you going to go, or do you assume it will be a mob scene?”
It’ll be a mob scene – and i’m actually seeing Lady Gaga tonight hahahaha

*rob*, extended warranty is total waste of time. HP is a good way to go. $250 is an amazing price. WiFi on this one I assume?
