  1. $.10 / oz? That can’t be!!! A 2 liter of soda equals about 67 fluid ounces, give or take. That means a $2 bottle of soda would have a tax of $6.70!!!! I don’t think that will fly, even with those who support the beverage tax.

  2. “CatGar – It’s not just gender issues that are confused: deja vu, tres.”

ArCATy, it’s been a long week, so I’d add confusion over your email to my list. Whuh? Huh?

  3. my smart mouth nearly got my ass kicked this morning on the train. a dude was nudging me and giving me the eyeballs. one smart ass remark leads to another and I threw out the following line “I already had my breakfast and have no interest to pound another corn puff”. that’s when his 2 buddies said let’s kick his ass. I didn’t know these 2 big dudes nearby was his buddies. had to resort to the legal shield via “you throw the first punch so I can get you arrested”. I wuss’d out. but 3 against 1 is 100% getting my ass kicked

  4. i think we should just increase the income tax – but put most of the burden on the upper tax bracket. If they don’t like it they can move to CT. Less douchebags roaming the city.

  5. The best advert against the soda tax is the one with the hispanic looking mom in the kitchen claiming the taxes on sugary drinks would make shopping more expensive for middle class families.

  6. the loss of jobs is a threat from pepsico which has headquarters in westchester county. that is why they have been able to block tax thus far.
