In college I mentored a teen who’d been a street-walker. She ended up being a high-powered lawyer. Really amazing. She just needed to be told she was smart & not the piece of rubbish the way her mother had treated her as.
That’s an idea. It is interesting that I was only 6-8 years older than them but I was a grownup and they were kids. Now that age difference is nothing. There was one girl who was so incredibly smart and good at games. She used to beat everyone at Monopoly and me too. I couldn’t stand it.
