I had a really bad accident in London 3 years ago, one of my toes was crushed in an accident. I had excellent surgical care but re nursing, I felt like I was in a gulag and I was being punished for something. Sometimes, just when you want to say something categorical, like all nurses in the UK are sadistic thugs, something messes you up. With one nurse, I complained that she had not given me all the doses of antibiotics. She could have gotten defensive but she told me I was sleeping. She had the wisdom to know I was a wreck and for the entire time I was there, she did small acts of consideration and kindness, which made the whole thing bearable. I should have written a letter about her. Her name was Alma.
“I have had some wonderful nurses of the kind you see on t.v. as skilled & caring & I’ve had some truly sadistic ones that wouldn’t recognize the milk of human kindness in a labelled bottle.”
Nope, Arkady!! NO, no, no! ALL NURSES ARE VILE OBESE SOUL-LESS CREATURES! Didn’t you get the memo Rob sent out?! There are no wonderful nurses! Ever! Anywhere!

Donatella, I told all my buddies that when they meet a girl who doesn’t try to change them and they like her, put a ring on that girl & marry her.
That’s good advice, M4L.
“Hahaha ENY”
I love doing that. Thanks, DH.
