Lechacal, I think you and your wife can handle the Cyclone, but it is definately not for the elderly, infirm or physically unfit. I went with my bf and we got spinal rearrangements. You not only get your internal organs rearranged from the up and down action, the wooden structure rattles from side to side, recalibrating your skeleton.

i wanted to go to the mermaid parade this year but i couldnt cuz my roommate was away and i was taking care of the dogs, but i went to prospect park with my dog instead. the amount of pasty white chicks hoola hooping was obscene hahahaha. and dont get me started on about the “men” they were with. there a certain times in nyc when you look around and youre like wow, this is a total caricature right? and then youre like whoa, no, it’s real.
granted i probably looked like a moron myself cuz i found my ghetto chain for my dog last week and decided to take him out in it. basically it’s a super thick chain (think the chains around Mr T’s neck, and like only 18 inches long. yeah, i probably looked just as stupid hahah

Traffic on Neptune avenue on saturday was ridiculous because of the Mermaid parade. Took 30 minutes to move 2 blocks.
I didn’t go on the Cyclone Donatella. I always thought the amusement park on Coney Island was a single unified park of some kind, but turns out it’s at least three separate areas, and Luna Park is only one of them. The big ferris wheel is in a totally different area, and then the Cyclone seems to be in a third area. At the time I just found it really confusing and we spent so long waiting in line for Air Race that we ended up not doing the Cyclone. Next time for sure!
