Expert, Well, I wish you all the best, whichever way it happens. I have heard that walking helps. : ) (10 miles, in this heat? Wow, you are motivated!)
Legion – Yup, take the pics first with any regular digital camera (make sure to use a tripod). Then you load the pics on to Microsoft Movie Maker (or is it Windows Movie Maker? The one that is pre-loaded on all PCs in any event). Click “add media” and add the pics you are using as raw material. Then you can copy all of the pics en masse down to the “timeline” bar at the bottom of the screen and voila – you have the raw movie. From there you can adjust the amount of time that each frame plays, add sound clips (another “add media” and drop into the timeline) or just plug in a microphone and do “narrate timeline” do do a voice over. There are lots of websites where you can get free sound FX clips (like train whistles and ambulance sirens). There are also buttons for adding titles and credits. When you are done you click “publish movie” and the program spits out the final movie, which you can then load onto youtube. The trick with little kids is to keep it pretty low quality. You can lose their attention really quick if you try to get fancy.
I had a kind-of-sad father’s day cookout at my dad’s house on LI. He is physically healthy and pretty coherent, but not happy, and his wife (my stepmother; they’ve been together since a year after my mom died in 1983) is worse on both accounts. They are in their late 80s.
I know he was glad I was there, but it was not really fun. Oh well.
rf, sorry to hear your fathers day get-together was sad.
right! AVIATOR. Forgot about that place. Good idea Benson!
Legion, I remember those times when they had arcades in every billiards place and also was a bunch of arcade places around.
rf, there is a huge Dave&Busters in Times Square.

MINIATURE GOLF
it’s across the street on the grounds of the golf range.
Kens, Legion and all;
There is a nice arcade at Aviator Sports in Floyd Bennett Field.
The Aviator Sports Complex is one year old and word is still getting around about it. I highly recommend it to all parents with young children:
