Cobble, re your comments yesterday re recruiters…. some of those guys are used car salesmen (though I don’t want to dis the honest car dealers of the world). I spoke to someone the other day who I cut off mid-sentence. For some people, knowing ANYTHING about you is dangerous (for you).

DH, women’s tennis is more of a power game than it ever was – witness Venus and Serena.
Yeah, I agree. Venus and Serena’s power definitely sets them apart from other women’s players. But overall it’s definitely more enjoyable to watch than the men’s game – which is just guys hitting big serves and forehands at each other.
“35-35 in the fifth is astonishing. Talk about stamina.”
48-47 now. And the match was played over two days (stopped yesterday after the 4th set I believe). But still, very draining! Next match for the winner will be very difficult.
I was just thinking how annoying it is that I have to call in my lunch order every damn day. Why don’t they just send up a BLT if I don’t call them by 2:30? Don’t they know me at all after all these years?
But oh right: wars. earthquakes. better to maybe not complain about this one?

Aw, Ringo, that’s awful! You have to dial a phone so that others will make you lunch and bring it to you!? Terrible. What’s this world coming to! : P
Cobble still uses a dial phone??? Does she share a party line with that cheapskate, Pete???
“bike thread. Day 2.”
Bike Thread Day One made me want to stab my eyes out with a sparkler.
People are still viciously insulting one another in the bike thread. Day 2.
