Open Thread

So we had a b-day party for little jackal #1 this weekend.

Invitation did NOT say it was a “drop off” party (where parents can leave their kids at the party and go do something else for a while).

First kid shows up exactly at the start time for the party. Mom says “so I’m dropping her off.” Seems like she has plans and is all too eager to get out of there.

So I have to decide in a couple of seconds whether to tell her no fucking way or to be gracious about it and say that’s OK. I choose the latter.

As the party progresses I start worrying more and more about the kid. Is this kid off shoving paper clips in electrical outlets? Running with kitchen knives? Did I remember to lock up my pornos?

I ended up getting pretty pissed off. What if something had happened to the kid? I’m sure the parents would have blamed me. I don’t do drop off parties b/c I do NOT want to have to chase your kid around. Come to the party and chase your own kid around.

I’ll need soc. sec. # and DOB also. Mother’s maiden name might be useful too.

I’ve also found some new guys that need some money too. Money for rent and stuff, not sex.
