  1. benson — I second arkady on Lorenzutti. He’s taken care of cars for me for 20 years. Knows his stuff, honest. Per donatella, if ethnic solidarity matters, he’s Argentine but probably of Italian descent. Used to work in Brazilian auto racing. He also usually has good thoughts about what cars are best to buy used and sometimes knows of customers who are selling (safer to buy a used car that Lorenzutti has been working on). He’s on Douglass b/w 3rd & 4th.

  2. Mr. B, PLUSAs, did you see this? OTBKB responds to what happened in the blog world yesterday…

“Reading the comments on Brownstoner and the NY Times I found out what I already knew: some people like me (“You like me, you really like me,” as Sally Field famously said at the Oscars) and some people don’t (hey, what else is new? I’ve been slammed since I started this blog and the Smartmom column. I’m used to it).

Still you need a tough skin and fast fingers to defend yourself from unpleasant attacks of your character.

That said, it’s all food for thought. I got lots of useful comments, advice, criticism, complaints and compliments. I take everything that was said very seriously and I am really listening and wondering and pondering and thinking.

    And that’s the truth. “

  3. Benson, I have a wonderful mechanic for you. He is in Bushwick (eastern parkway) and has a ratty little shop, BUT he is:

    a) an excellent, excellent mechanic
    2) Italian
iii) it seems like his father used to run the place before him.
    IV) He is very HONEST.
    5) He is very cheap.
    V) He is very nice.
    g) He is very fast.

I love this guy. MIKE – 718-342-9352 2000 Eastern Parkway
