  1. DIBS, your “Obama made a very bad move politically when he said that he was taking full responsibility for this” (along with many other Repubs) just has me jaw-droppingly befuddled.

    I mean really. What are we, NINE? For me, taking “full responsibility” for something that is CLEARLY not your fault, nor rooted in anything on your watch, is called being an ethical grown-up, not “un-smart” or politically stepping in it. It is sad commentary that such a willingness to be responsible is now simply attacked politically. He can’t win for losing. I know you must realize that at least on some level. And I do hope, fervently, that you’re also aware of the unbelievable chutzpah of “drill baby drill” Palin herself now claiming that it is the ENVIRONMENTALISTS who are actually to blame for this environmental holocaust. Not the off-shore drilling. And tell me, are you also against the idea of ridding these giant corporations of all of their tax breaks in order to begin, TRULY begin like we MEAN it, finding and funding clean energy sources?

    Sorry folks. I just can’t take it anymore. My heart is sick. And the nonsensical political poison bullshit is just too much.

  2. In Bridge news:

    1. jessi and Biff, the ice cream truck is back at the foot of the Bridge in case anyone is overdue for gender verification and a Mr. Softee;

    B. Biff, it looks like demolition has finally begun on the last building on Pier 1;

    (iii) I managed to make it home last night without being accosted by that Wall Street jack*ss on his bike; and

    Fourth, and this one’s for *rob*, as Lanie Kazan said in “Beaches”, I was “shvitzin’ from here to Hy-ANNIS” on my walk home last night.

  3. For some reason, I see the BHB folks delicately munching (so as not to dislodge their dentures and partials) camembert on organic cracked wheat rounds whilst discussing the pros and cons of segways, but maybe that’s just me 🙂

  4. I’m still ‘forbidden’ over there.
    Geez, it’s one thing to ban someone from posting, but to not have them be able to view the site is beyond ridiculous.

    Not surprised about the ‘moldy cheese’. Speaks volumes about their personalities over in B. Heights.

  5. “well in my building, apparently it’s a children’s roller rink and stroller storage facility”

    LMAO, *rob*!

    why, I would’ve said vestibule, which I’m guessing would be the number one answer if we were playing Family Feud.
