“A big fuck you to the asshole who was waiting to turn off of Hicks this morning who apparently thought The Champs and I were taking too long for his liking to cross the street”
“Seems like the cyclists in Manhattan are ALL idiots! This weekend I saw so many run red lights, riding the wrong way in the bike lanes, riding in the middle of the road. You know the usual stuff they do.”
says the woman who was driving around a densely populated city on a holiday weekend in a land yacht!!

So true, ET. Speaking of, as Cobble is my witness, I was attacked on the Bridge on my way home Friday, yet again, by that same Wall Street a**hole on his bike. First he rode full speed at me INTO the walking lane. And then, after I had managed to escape, he makes a second pass, gives me the finger, and yells at me to “Stay the eff out of the bike lane. OR ELSE!”. I think I’m going to have to start walking over the Manhattan Bridge.
Dona, you may have been the only New Yorker in history to ponder spending a day at Coney Island versus going to the Hispanic Society of America. It’s kind of like trying to decide between eating a burger at McDonald’s or a steak at Peter Luger’s.
Gee, DIBS, Iran makes Baptists look like partiers.
Question for those with some construction knowledge:
Does anyone know what the material is that seems to be used more of late on exteriors of buildings?….looks like some kind of composite panels that are screwed into the side of the bldg. The new coffee shop on Smith and Bergen used the siding. I can’t seem to find it on internet searches and am curious as to what it is made of.
Thanks
There is actually a pretty good Iranian Pop group here in the US. They had to leave Iran, even though there music was not at all political. Can’t remember their name, though.
Thank you ET for the bicyclist rant. Now I don’t have to do it. Actually I gave up on ranting about bicyclists. Now I just do range of motion exercises for my neck so I look everywhere and do a lot of praying I don’t hit anyone.

Musta been Mr. Texptert
lesbiman, if it’s a stucco or fake cement it’s some form of Dryvit or a knock off.
still reading it, but *rob* got a shout out in the Albermarle reno thread [it’s on the front page]
