“Has anyone ever been to Hyde Hall in Cooperstown? That place is amazing.”
NO!!!!!
We went up to Cooperstown for a day and were going to go after visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame but ran out of time 🙁
I hated the Baseball Hall of Fame!!!!!! Bored outta my mind. Friends we were with are such baseball nuts, they had to read every frickin plaque next to every display!!
MM, I think you can take metro north up to Hyde Park or Tarrytown and then a taxi to the mansions in ‘Sleepy Hollow’ – Lyundhurst, Kykuit, Montogomery place, Sunnyside, etc.
Olana is further north and not near these.
We once took a ferry from NYC to Kykuit.
Sadly, I’m such a house museum whore I’ve been to all of them!
CGar, I went there once with a friend who had a house in Catskill, but we got there after they had closed. We walked around the grounds, but I’d love to go in. From the photos I’ve seen, I know they’d have to drag me out and lock the doors at the end of the day.
I’ll have you know I’ve never had an accident, and only parking tickets. I’m from upstate, we learn to drive early, and well, it’s not easy dodging deer and woodchucks, ya know. Much harder than clipping slow moving Heights residents and their children.
“Wait, Biff, are you telling me the supportive, come back and see us again, thanks for the excitement comments, were all removed???”
Yes, yet somehow all of the disparaging comments from BHBers remained. Even a few of my own pre-ban comments were gone. I think Legion had his taken off as well. They’re like the Faux News of blogs!

Hello all – greetings from Beirut, which does not look at all like Williamsburg.
