Yeah, when they unclogged the pipe, there was a gigantic wave of S#@!T which flowed into my basement. Where are these people who talk about the lilly-livered GENTRIFIERS????

Slopie, it wasn’t so bad as you describe. Hlad told me that it was an old portion of the pipe (he explained that the pipes made during WWII were of inferior quality due to metals being used for other things..). It had a little crack which became bigger thanks to pressure built up in the line by CEMENT.
Re: yesterday’s comment on my hiring the 3 Stooges. I had someone do some masonry in the backyard and they cleaned their tools in my drain which went into the waste line and caused a nice layer of cement sediment, which clogged up the line. So the pipe had a little crack, which got worse and started to leak –we then had to unclog it (omg) and then remove part of the pipe which was cracked. After it was all finished, I had to get a Hazmat co. to do a real job down there.
