I saw a friend last night who told me a weird story.
She came home the other afternoon to her new doorman apartment in Chelsea (has been there 3 months). Someone
was in her apartment!
The place was surgically clean, spic and span, neat as a pin, beds made, kitchen spotless, vacuumed, dusted and shoes lined up neatly at the side of her bed and little chocolates left on her counter!!!!
She freaked out! Who was here? Called the doorman. He just came on duty, they tracked down the doorman on duty, oh, it was a service, he gave them the key to the apartment. Turns out the chocolates had a name on them (Green and clean) something like that. She googles them and calls them and they say “Oh, You’re NOT Stephanie Johnson”??? That was the former tenant. They screwed up something with the rotating contract and cleaned her apartment by mistake!!!!
Gemini — These are asshole teens (and sadly some older) that think of themselves as “untouchable” and would be very willing to instantly turn it into a fight. If you choose to confront them, make sure you have a pen in your hand and aim for the eyes.
gem if it bothers people they should speak up! or play louder music, start an early morning AM work rush hour dance party on the train! i wonder why that never happens anymore?

I think it’s sooo rude and I always want to say something but I don’t want to get into it with some folks.

Seriously, boom boxes were much better…. well, for two reasons, I was younger and didn’t mind and they have REAL speakers so the sound was decent. Oh, and the music was good.

“Getting into it” with someone on the train usually makes the start of my day more interesting and envigorating.
