guess what, the rat persists. we left traps maybe 36 hours ago, and nothing. but this morning we saw him stroll under the trash enclosure. hubby got a brick, stood on enclosure, and then next to it, then on it again, trying to get a good angle to smash its brains. no luck. i think we have to bring out the poison. we could try to make the enclosure impossible to get in too, but that seems daunting– those little m’er f’rs can squeeze their bodies pretty flat.
Noki – There was a piece yesterday on an art installation – a sidewalk divided into 2 lanes w/ designations: “Tourists” on one side & “Natives” on the other.
DH, I think this new album should do pretty well. Most of the new crap hitting the mkt recently is too commercialized crap with a catchy hook and lacking in content or context
Wow! Why can’t mistakes like that ever happen to me?
Rob, you just nailed one of my pet peeves. Others include tourists who cluelessly walk several abreast, realllllly slowly on busy sidewalks (I call them the blood clots to the arterial flow of Manhattan); people who cough up a loogie and spit it in the middle of the sidewalk; people who get on escalators, particularly the long ones at subways and then just frickin’ STAND there right and left with no care to blocking the flow; and people who cram onto the subway cars without standing to the side to let people out.
Gemini! RHONY was utterly awesome last night. I was gobsmacked by Kelly’s behavior. And fwiw, I am starting to adore Sonja.
i got a cleaning lady recently. she is the best. she organizes my refrigerator and my closets. she changes the crib sheet. she puts away dishes and folds laundry. she brings tears to me eyes.

Chocolates on a bed are not good… you shouldn’t go to sleep with a fresh layer of sugar on your teeth.
(Of course, I do all the time. Gotta keep the dentists busy!)

I tried to get into the archives but nothing happens. Maybe Snappy can do her Google trick.
