  1. Cgar, you use Excel the same way as a calculator. For any equation, just put a ‘=’ in any cell and it’ll automatically know you’re doing an equation and then you just have to type in the formula and press “ENTER’. To raise the power, the sigh is the same ^. So for example if you know to raise 45 to power of 1/4th, in Excel you type in:

    =45^(1/2) or =45^.25

    Either will do the trick.
