You jump from what Holder say to some big generalization on some people on the so-called ‘left’. I guess I am suppose to infer that Holder is some sort of spokesperson for the ‘left’ and in general for people on the left that characterize Tea people in some way. Of course they are all alike and think the same way, etc, etc, etc.
Not really interesed in watching the video – probably some stupid media person trying to pin down a politician to use some phrase so can be quoted and used in some sound-bite ‘gotcha’. As they do for any politican on any side on any issue.
“am I the only asshole who washes dishes before I put them in the dishwasher?”
Some people say it’s a waste of energy/resources to rinse them before putting them in the dishwasher as the dishwasher will get them clean without doing that. However, if you don’t go through a lot of dishes (i.e., living alone and not with a family), personally I would rinse them first as the stench of opening the dishwasher after having dirty dishes and glasses in there after a couple of days is rather disgusting.
It’s better to leave dishes slightly soiled when you put them in the machine. The leavings act as a catalyst for the soap & make it more effective. Just brush off the plates.
What’s wrong with a mosque near Ground Zero? Are we now going to demonize and entire religion for the actions of its radical element? That is as unfair as demonizing Christianity for those foaming at the mouth anti-gay nutballs from Nebraska or wherever they are from, or demonizing all Jews for the right wing extremists in Israel. Isn’t freedom of religion a right in this country?
A lot of regular joes, American and foreign citizens of the Muslim faith died in the Trade Center bombing. They were office workers, restaurant workers and all of the other occupations of human beings in those buildings. We allow and encourage other faiths to put their symbols at Ground Zero, we allow all other faiths to have houses of worship wherever they choose. To deny it to Muslims is to negate what this country is supposed to stand for, and also shows a profound ignorance of the Muslim faith that 95% of the Muslims in this country practice.
DH, I rinse, but I’ve read that you’re not supposed to wash them first, but to leave gunk on them because it interacts with the cleaning agents in the dishwashing detergent and that’s how the dishes get clean. All very scientific. So I just take the experts at their word.
I love the dynamics of the OT.
While some are dishing dirt, others discuss dirty dishes.
