yes indeed tybur6.
am I reading too much into the opening date?
9/11/11.
funny you should ask for “understanding”.
you weren’t even here in New York on
9/11/01
so keep your defense of islamist to your fucking self
if that’s what you’re looking for.
I always thought would be cheap to maintain those mews houses. I think Cgar has those huge overstuffed sofas and chairs that you get at the discount furniture stores and wouldn’t even fit thru doorway of mews house. Never mind would take up whole room. And then there is the kingsize bed with the 6 ft high headboard.
NO, Legion, the CIVIL PART ended when you characterized a group of Muslims building a new mosque as “Islamists” without knowing anything more than the fact that a mosque is being built.
From the Post article… “For us, it’s a symbol, a platform that will give voice to the silent majority of Muslims who suffer at the hands of extremists. A center will show that Muslims will be part of rebuilding lower Manhattan,” said Khan, adding that Cordoba will be open to everyone.
I’m referring to your original comment: “who is financing this venture and I wasn’t exactly aware of a large Islamist presence in the financial district??!!”
You don’t know the intent or even who is “behind” the establishment of this mosque AND you aren’t aware that the thousands of Muslims that live and work in Downtown Manhattan may want to worship there… AND you decided to use the inflammatory word “Islamist” (intentionally) to characterize all Muslims as would-be terrorists.
You’re an awesome person. I wish i had a daughter so you could marry her.

Legion, I really need you to explain why you chose the word “Islamists” for that particular group of people as opposed to Muslim.

Bunch of “Islamists” indeed.
besides I can’t watch video at work.
“[leaving and closing the door behind me]”
and before I closed the door, I threw in some cats to try to divert the convo.
MEOW!
not debating…Just saying totally nuts your jump from Holder to some generalizations about people on the left and their issues with Tea Party.
“oh boy…this could get ugly!”
Dirty dishes are never pleasant.
