    I think you’re confusing the Park Slop Food Co-op with volunteer organizations.

    Rob, you forgot about my reasons: free travel and access to areas you couldn’t visit without an excuse – e.g. I’m reading books to kids in ENY this weekend.

  3. jessi–I went to college in Philly in the 80’s so the Jerry Penacoli story was right up my alley (pun intended). I think Richard Gere was second to the party with that particular urban rumor.
