blowfish–I am collecting blue stone as I find it. Have almost enough. Not sure if I am going to lay it myself or hire somebody. You can come over and check it out if I do.
Just got off the phone with a bank re foreclosure properties. The head of the REO division said foreclosures have been on hold but they expect a “flood” of new inventory in about 3 months when the loan modification regulations get finalized.
bluestone (flagstone) sidewalks have to be put down carefully,
layers of crushed gravel, gravel and sand.
I had some work done with it and the first contractor
didn’t know squat about it.
another alternative is pigmented cement.
works well to fill in smaller spaces in a
larger bluestone sidewalk.

I’m glad I bought in the fringe and now it’s no longer fringe.
