  1. “What, the change I am talking about is the wonderful physical transformation our neighborhood is going through, one that has accelerated greatly over the last 2 years since I moved into my current home. ”

What change Wasder? Oh I know the new bars going up, oh wait the higher prices Met charges for food (organic), right. Or the Bakery that has no support for the Asshats. Or the new Bar (Empty as hell and a future Epic Fail), right??

“The number of houses that are being renovated and beautified is incredible,”

Well if a idiot will pay 2000.00 a month for a one bedroom, I say “go for it”, be the stagecoach turns into a pumpkin.

” as is the way that Fulton is being transformed, and all of these changes speak to a neighborhood that is attractive and welcoming and on every level improving.”

Ok, you see new bars as a “improvement” to the neighborhood???

“At the same time I agree that overpaying does hurt everybody, so I do think that some of the current asking prices are unrealistic and unsustainable even for Clinton Hill.””

Put down the ‘Goal Post’ Wasder..

    The What

Someday this war is gonna end..

  2. wasder, I was in the same boat when I bought over here in the ghetto. There were two restaurants that hat sit-down service. Since then (2007) we’ve had one replaced by Peaches and the other replaced by Peaches Hot House and Saraghina open. Butternut Market will open soon and Saraghina is in the process of opening a fish/seafood place. Imagine, fresh oysters in the ghetto. Another place opening down the street from me and the lease on the bodega next door up soon and most likely already spoken for.

Good. I’m glad you realize our share is 17%. I was concerned you were one of the folks that thinks the IMF is an American organization.

So, the IMF loaning a European country money is a problem? These aren’t grants like the IMF may extend to a developing nation. This is debt.

The U.S. has had no problem borrowing money. Perhaps you’ve noticed that. (And still gets very good rates)

  5. Biff, I dont think he would have either. Wasnt that line about “buy land at the fringe of a growing city”? Hmmm. Is that NYC in the 21st Century? I’m not so sure.

Then again he made money in drugs too and some things never change. There’s still gobs of money to be made in the opium trade.
