Slope and DIBS;
Oh please! And WHO is called the conservative around here?
How about this novel idea: sometimes, when you try something new, it doesn’t work out. No biggie. The sponsor will replace the panels, and people will move on with their lives. Happens all the time. Look at the building on the corner of 14th and 5th Ave. They had some facade issues, even though it was built to high standards. The issue was fixed by the sponsor.
Those who own brownstones shouldn’t throw stones. DIBS, did you not have to do some repair work on YOUR facade?
I never get tired of that rant. In fact, I thought of it when I saw the peeling laminate. Yes, m4l, you can always replace it, but I can’t imagine new condo buyers factor into their buying decision the cost of replacing little sections of brand new facade every few months.
515 5th went through a major facade job recently. that place is less than 3 years old. Hope they were able to get the sponsor to pay.
slope, it could be that the memory card is too slow to capture the video stream. Make sure you have a good one. Or maybe the camera just can’t handle it. $300?
It also could be technique. The guys I’ve seen using DSLRs on the street are using stabilization rigs. Or tripods with fluid heads.

“I need to do something to stabilize my image. It’s been going downhill fast.”
Sit on a fluid head.

I agree with Denton that it must be something to do with image stabilization.
Thanks, wasder & denton.
