  1. DIBS;

    How do you know that?

    I could just as easily make a breezy statement that the majority of old homes in Brooklyn are $hitboxes that for many years were neglected, carved into SRO’s or rentals, etc.

  2. When I went to look at Satori – that was one thing we thought that those panels did not look like would hold up.
    I say blame it on the engineers who designed and/or the asian country where manufactured.

  3. “Not sure if the brokers would pay $100 for each one though.”

    $100 for a floorplan???? WTF!!! DIBS, you have to stop thinking of the rates you pay your ‘workers’. I must be a union worker, cause I would charge more.
    .20 – .25 cents per square foot is my rate AND I don’t eyeball anything. I measure every square inch of a space.

    What’s a typical space?
    To measure a 1,000 sq. ft. apt. will probably take me (one person) 1.5 hours to measure.
    A four story townhouse, half a day.
    Depending how much crap is in the way.

  4. just read through the thread,

    this has been a rough week,

    we seem to be missing my friends,

    bxgrl
    donatella
    lechacal

    I hope they’re not gone too long. 🙁

  5. benson, apples and oranges.

    I’m only saying that ALL new development does NOT fall into your category “a” That’s my whole point…the majority of new development in brooklyn over the past 2-5 yeears HAS NOT BEEN WITH A “WELL ESTABLISHED DEVELOPER.”

  6. Denton;

    My comparison did not address taste or “workmanship” (whatever that is). It addresses DIBS’ contention about the lack of transparency of the product quality in new-build purchases.
