BKNesto hanging out in the OT? Wow. How are you? I am glad to see Clinton Hill Chill back up and running. Thought provoking post about “amenities” and how they are perceived by older and newer residents. I think there has to be a balance between understanding the long-time nature and vibe of a community like Clinton Hill and providing newer residents with some of the things that they might want. Despite everyone’s online agita, I think Clinton Hill has been a fairly positive example of how to integrate new people into a close knit community.
Or to put it a different way it depends on the definition of “fundamentals”. I see your point if what you are saying is the market is nothing more than supply and demand – there are no underlying earnings as there are with stocks to act as a reference point for price. So OK, point taken.
DIBS – gold market fundamentals include things like total above the ground stock (around 170,000 tons I think), annual production (maybe 4,000 tons?) demand from jewlery manufacturing, industrial uses, dental procedures and retail investment…. Stocks aren’t the only things in the world with fundamentals…. don’t need GAAP earnings for there to be market fundamentals.
Hoboken, I was reading up on gold market fundamentals yesterday….. confirmed my view that gold is not a buy at current price.
Far be it from me to want to argue with YOU of all people but the problem with that statement is that gold NEVER trades on ANY fundamentals. In fact, aside from supply and demand figures, there are no such fundamentals like price/book, yield, etc.
“When I moved to Ft Greene almost 6 years ago, it looked post-Apocolyptic.”
“No What. I am talking about retail services.”
What retail services were not available in FG in 2004? It seems you still not familiar with what’s in the hood right now in 2010. That post-apocolyptic statement says a lot…
For those of you who haven’t see Clinton Hill Chill here is the post I am talking about. Very germane to our discussion today.

“I really really really need to see the British Pound tank by August…. that would make me VERY happy.”
Ty, you just have it in for the Brits because you were robbed at knife-point in the park in front of your hotel.

DCB- “bxgrl: that is inappropriate and sexist.”

“CGar, see, God don’t like ugly!”
MM, not nice to call me “ugly”. Even if it’s true, it’s still not nice.
🙁
Going away now . . .
