dont know how many yrs of residence (ie yrs away from college classrms) but most doctors I know are at least 28 yrs old when finally DONE. my cousin was 34 when he was done with all his heart surgury training stuff. have to assume it’s more than 3 yrs of tuition
CGar, since you’re open to suggestions, how about:
– roof deck or balcony thingy
– builtout storage area in Dry basemt
– video cam at the door to make it easier for me to decipher who to buzz in or not
– hanger thingie in hallway to hang stroller
– pullie system to crank up the heavy grocery & other stuff
– Locker on ground flr to accept Fedex/UPS parcel
– dumb waiter so I dont have to walk downstairs to get your fresh-baked brownies
– you sign up for fios svcs so I can mooch off you wireless internet
I’d rather have a house with no rental. And with those mews houses, it’s possible.
Common garden? Those houses have a common front garden but they all have small private patios. They do have a common walkway back there. That walkway is positioned better on one side. I forget what side.
Re the UK example – it’s a shorter time to qualify as a doctor (or at least start earning income) over there. Just one five year degree, not pre-med then medical school.
Not sure about the best solution for the US, but v. not impressed by Canadian healthcare so far.
my grandmother just called me and said her son’s baby momma’s sister in law is driving her up to brooklyn to see me since i never go down there (south carolina) and if they could stay at my place or if there’s a hotel in the area :-/ this would be next month.
question: i dont really want to see her. does that make me horrible person? i turned my back on all things family long ago and i dont wanna have to deal with them anymore. i cant flat out just tell her that tho and it’s given me such weird feelings, like im a horrible person for not wanting to deal with anyone im related to. i dont think people should be obligated to care for people they have no feelings for. or maybe i should embrace her visit and suck it up like a normal adult!? very difficult for me.

rob, tell her that you’re in the Hamptons for the month of June.

Kens — Harvard Medical School is $43,500 per year (tuition and fees), times 3. Cornell is $22,424 per year times 3.
NYU provides the full budget to expect… $68,929 per year. This includes tuition, room and board, books, supplies, etc. etc. etc.
Half a million?
