  1. Ironic that 2 people who have been particularly mean to me in the OT the past 2 days (e.g., m4l threatens me with bodily harm during my next hair cut, Cobble gives my prime deck space to bxgrl and The Cat Menagerie) want me to buy real estate large enough for us all to live together.

  2. “I have been avoiding new developments, sticking to TH floor thru units and prewar buildings. Location is just OK IMO”

For the most part, I am as well. And I agree about the location, but the 3 bedrooms were still very tempting at that price point. That said, I’ve made a couple of exceptions — I almost bought in an 8yo building, not too far from you I think (an off the OT story for when we meet), and there’s a 5yo building in Cobble Hill I’m partial to (the Arches).

BTW, I’ve spent a fair amount of time in Bloomfield Hills and Birmingham which is why I asked about Michigan.

  3. I grew up in a 3-corner village of 200 people that isn’t even on some maps.

I generally hate the little guy (he comes up to my chin, and I’m not esp tall), but he wrote a good one today.

166 is so, so beautiful to walk by, and disappointing in a souless kind of way on the inside. What could have been…

Did you look at 225? I have been avoiding new developments, sticking to TH floor thru units and prewar buildings. Location is just OK IMO, not a great block, but seems like they did a good job. Sold off the two commercial units for $13M as well. Not a huge fan, but I admire they moved everything in about 4-5 months.

Greece crisis: three bank workers killed in street protests

Three Greek bank workers were killed when mobs of protesters set fire to buildings in Athens as demonstrations against ‘austerity measures’ turned to running battles in the streets.
