Went to see one of my favorite movies this past weekend at the Film Forum: “The Sweet Smell of Success”, with Tony Curtis and Burt Lancaster. Both actors are at the top of their game in this film. Classic New York Noir.

To me, however, nothing is more life-affirming than the sight of a woman attractively made up in a long, flowing spring dress, with a nice floppy straw hat.
im sorry, i know it’s not even 10am yet, but that is some serious GOTD
totally bxgirl, i too am very chary that the more expensive a wine is the better it tastes. i mean i understand the vintage aspect of consuming wine, but when it comes to coffee beans that’s just absurd. so someone claims that a coffee bean is worth 10x the amount it should be, making people who sell low rent coffee beans think oooooh well i can raise the price too, and make it 5x the amount it should be. it’s the same with housing!

I’m sure that the sights of spring -flowers blooming, kids out playing again, the trees full of leaves – give you a renewed sense of life, as they do for me. To me, however, nothing is more life-affirming than the sight of a woman attractively made up in a long, flowing spring dress, with a nice floppy straw hat.
rob- they did a blind wine tasting test with a bunch of wine experts. Turns out they couldn’t tell an expensive from a cheap wine. In fact one of the cheaper wines won the taste test. Go figure.
[Am I the only one who thinks someone hijacked benson’s brownstoner account???]

Ty, after we all wired money to you in London last week, the least you can do is tell us what your 9:42 post refers to.
“After gathering”
