bxgrl – Think of it this way, CG just doesn’t have a sense of whimsy. That’s his loss. Anyone who is terrified of balloons is to be pitied not punished.
No. I don’t agree with benson. This is a long-running thing. I hear benson’s point, minus the excesses, about Mr. B being a little bit condescending and perhaps elitist about taste outside the brownstone hoods. That’s about as far as I would go.
Again, minus the excesses, I did think Mr. B went a bit overboard on Greenwood last week. I’m kind of with AJ — I’m for context there in terms of scale and how the buildings more or less fit, but thre’s no design context to worry about. A good place for freak flags to fly.
I know a judge who would end discussion by saying “I understand your position.” To me, “I hear you” means I understand and recognize the merit in what you are saying, even if I disagree with much of it.
Catgar targeted myself and snappy when claiming he thought the house was ugly. It hurt our feelings. Snappy will no longer glitter his path and I…well, I am just heartbroken.
I just saw it as a stimulus to discussion: there are even people on here who like Fedders buildings. It’d be terrible if all snark were removed from the world. That house wouldn’t be my choice but I’d love walking by it.
“bet lechacal went and had whitebread sandwich for lunch.”
I had half a quarter chicken, okra, and spinach (southern style, cooked with a bunch of fatty meat).
slopey *rolling my eyes* MUST you be reasonable? I mean, really! (Can Jews be candidates for sainthood?) 🙂

Slopey, you have zero credibility:
(i) You don’t believe in texting, or weekend email, and I can’t relate to someone who doesn’t permit 24/7/365 instant communication; and
B. You’re a closeted, non-vocal cat person, but a cat person nonetheless.

What egregious sin did CatGar commit?
Arkady- I saw it as taste warfare (by the way snappy and I need you to help -ahhh, educate Cargar).
