Would your mom be willing to cruise in a chair? I once suggested it to mine (she can walk but not very far or very fast) and she almost kicked the sh*t out of me.
I went to the Silk Road exhibit, ET. It was interesting, but LOTS AND LOTS of active kids which could be a little wearing if you are going to be pushing a wheelchair. How about a play? That is what I used to do with my mother when she was still in NY..
Jessi, thanks….but Mom doesn’t want gifts anymore this stage in her life. She’d rather spend the day with her kids/family. We usually go to BBG or a museum but she can’t walk a lot anymore.
Checked BBG’s site to see if they have wheelchairs to use for the day. Didn’t see, but will call.
Maybe, I’ll see if Natural History Museum has wheelchairs to use also. The Silk Road exhibit is there and I think she’d enjoy that + I’ve been wanting to see it.
CGar, be wary of anything bad you might’ve said to me the next time you go get your haircut there. I have enough clout with the owner that you might get “no homo” edged into back of your head
“CGar was escorting them to school and was mistaken for a student?”
LOL, ET.
In the not so distant past, I’ve been sternly told — on more than one occasion — to “Stay with the group” when I’ve happened to be walking near a group of students in a museum.
Dave, I say we keep what we have but pretend we got rid of them.

The Pentagon has just released the number of active and inactive nuclear warheads that we have. it is currently 5,113 down from 22,217 in late 1989.
I say keep the rest of them. You never know when you might need them.

It was decorated with a lot of funky stuff they got from mexico, including a pair of clear pumps!!!!!! I immediately thought of you.
