Last night walking up Stuyvesant Ave I noticed a lot of mulch had been put around all the trees against the curb. They were finishing up this morning but it looks like it is ONLY spread in the Landmarked Historic District.
“it is however one of the dirtiest and litter strewn and garbage dumped avenues and streets i have EVER seen. ”
Uh, that’s a sign of a place that is sketchy. That and the strung out homeless people crouching in doorways.
No one cares enough to keep it looking nice which means the only people there are the type who don’t care. This attracts people who like to do what they plan to do in places where they are unlikely to be interfered with.
One side-effect of the mutliple stimuli is that people are now spelling stimulus correctly. When Bush first went with it the internet was covered with “stimulous”.
omg a friend of mine just sent me a craigslist ad of an apt he is going to look at it. it’s a total fedders building! equipped with baseboard heating and all! i was like oooooh nice fedders! he had no clue what i was saying hahaha. you people have corrupted me.
really? nah. it doesnt seem bad at all. it is however one of the dirtiest and litter strewn and garbage dumped avenues and streets i have EVER seen. (and i lived in hamilton heights harlem!). why is 4th avenue so dirty? it cant be because all the litter tumbles down the slope onto it is it?

I think I’m entitled to some too.
Sorry to hear about your friend, Rob. But yes, a fair number of muggings happen along 4th avenue.

“is it sketchy down there at night or was it just bad luck on his behalf?”
Sketchy. Especially at midnight. “Streets” are always watching.
