I got Pete worked up a couple of weeks ago when I was negatively commenting on a property in Boerum Hill a couple of weeks ago. I said it was near the deadly Atlantic Avenue/Flatbush/4th Avenue intersection (NOT actually). He is very protective of BH. (I am deadlyafraid to cross the street around there.)
What’s the fine for drinking on a stoop? I’ve done it a few times before and never had a problem. Then again, I don’t often see cops driving around Brooklyn Heights. If meter readers could issue tickets for drinking, I guess that would be more of a concern.
Biff, discontinued products can always be found in discount stores like DII and many dollar stores in the area. That’s where the final shipments end up.
We had a big stoop sale on Saturday with everyone in our building putting suff out for sale. Wrote a bunch of signs in sidewalk chalk at the subway exit on my block – “mega stoop sale at [address]”. The chalk had basically rubbed off by the end of the day and is now completely washed off.
I was no longer able to find my hair product in any stores and contacted the Company, who just emailed me that they discontinued the product due to low demand.
I guess that says something about how stylish I am. And no, it’s not Brylcream.
I think that chalk idea is great, *Rob*. Maybe will catch on. But especially in P-S will be a contest to have to artsiest chalk drawing ad.
“The chalk had basically rubbed off by the end of the day and is now completely washed off.”
That explains why I saw Pete wandering around Park Slope with sponges and a bucket of soapy water last Saturday.
Thanks DIBS, but I think it would have been even gayer had I said, “I was no longer able to find my hair REMOVAL product in any stores”
