CGar – I will not be able to come to Loki, as I am in California all week. Mrs. Benson may come by for a drink, as I live close by.

Yesterday I was in LA. There was a huge traffic jam on the freeway, so our GPS directed us to the airport through the local streets. LA is incredible to me. When I was a kid in the 60’s growing up in NYC, LA was like a dreamland to many people I knew. All of the TV shows at that time were set in LA, and it looked so appealing. It had everything that NYC did not. It was sunny, warm, modern and spacious. It was surrounded by mountains and had all of these beaches where blonds surfed all day. Many people from Brooklyn moved there at that time(example: Senator Barbara Boxer grew up in Crown Heights).
The feeling I just described is perfectly captured in the Mama and Papa’s song “California Dreaming”.
Now much of LA just looks like a dated monument to tacky 60’s architecture. It has seen better days, while NYC has been booming. Amazing.
You’re not sleeping with a black lesbian…you’re sleeping with a foul-breathed kitten. Hari goes to bed promptly at 10pm and he likes to cuddle. Don’t be late 🙂
