One of the coolest things I saw on my most recent drive was when we got to Memphis. It was about 4 pm and the FedEx airplanes were taking off, one after another after another from the Airport they use as a hub. Mostly big MD-11s. One would take off and turn east, then one would head south, then one would head west. The next morning as we were driving to Graceland I could see the FedEx planes landing. I would love to get a tour of that facility. Hundreds of planes land. Millions of packages get sorted and put on other planes. Hundreds of planes take off. Like clockwork. Graceland was just a boring house with shitty 1970s decor. The FedEx facility is a temple of human achievement.
I heard that in Brazil they came out with an audio series of erotica for those on long commutes.
They had to discontinue it though cause people were getting their stick shifts confused and crashing.
