Rob, a very similar idea gained widespread popularity in the ’60s with wood panelling on the walls in basements (and in the ’70s with wood panelling on the sides of station wagons).

i was just out on my smoke break and i had an architectural (well more interior design) inspiration!!! vinyl siding INDOORS!! like on walls in your living room. it would totally be an interesting look!!!
