I agree with you on the Allen Edmonds, benson. I have two pair and they are my nicest shoes. You can put on a pair of new Allen Edmonds and never experience that annoying “break-in” period.
There used to be a guy who rented out boats in Gerritsen Beach – at the marina near Knapp Street and Ave V. It’s been a while, so I’m not sure if he’s still there.
um, ive seen enough episodes of House Hunters International on HGTV to know

Real estate agents, especially the EUROTRASH ones in N YC are absolutely the worst dressed people out there. That would include all Massey Knackel brokers!!!
I know the type of person of which you speak. I myself had the thrill of scoring a great bargain recently. Allen-Edmonds had a close-out sale on one of thei5 most popular lines of shoes and I snapped up the last one. 50% off! Allen-Edmonds is such a great shoe. With proper care, they can easily last you 5 years, and still look good. In addition, they are still made in the USA.
Does anyone know if it is possible to actually rent a boat around here, with or without a pilot? I have an Argentinian photog friend who wants to do the Gowanus Canal. He shoots with an 8×10 view camera and makes platinum prints, so the Gowanus Canoe Club is out of the question.
