benson: how predictable (again) to bring up Clinton. Why do conservatives always bring him up…his faults are hardly in the same league as all these Bible-thumping, family-values rightwingers who fall from grace like cherry blossoms in May.

Don’t want to kill a thread but we have a family game, (sort of game) played by brother (arch conservative, defender of all that is morally right, true, honorable,) and me. It has been played for decades. It is finely tuned for comic effect at family gatherings, he eggs me on, I play along. Our latest was on the use of the f bomb by Biden (who I LOVE), ended with “Bush was the worst president in the history of the US” (at his his request to unload my true opinion once and for all and get it off my chest) and ended up with his withering commentary on Clinton getting his b**w jobs.
It is something like Legion and Papi. Sometimes it starts with “Remember when Donatella was a hippie?” Both of us have the wisdom to see the comedy and to push it as far as it can go for its full effect. He is the most stubborn man on earth, but at least he has a sense of humor.
>you pulled the trigger too soon on the Steele affair.
Ah, but it was a pleasure!
Between him & Palin, as the liberal bloggers would say, the gifts that keep on giving.
Oh…and anyone notices that Palin’s Alaska, that bastion of federal fund-sucking, is highest on the debtors list? (NYT, today, and probably will not be rescinded)
And, no, bxgrl, no. I may only be skimming, but I’m not terribly interested in buying you a house for a friggin’ Cray supercomputer. N-O. NO. If you want another house for the sake of it, like yesterday’s HOTD in Cobble Hill, that’s fine. But to house a supercomputer? NO. I’m putting my foot down. My God, woman, you are high maintenance.
An appropriate place for my email if ever there was one, BH. Which reminds me to ask all of you to please check your email accounts for similar Spam from me. This is especially true for those of who created Brownstoner email accounts that you rarely, if ever, check.
Hola Stoners,
this is a pre-announcement that The Chicken will be rejoining the OT in about 40 minutes (basically once I get home). For your discussion delectations, I can offer views on The British, The Chinese, Real Estate, my second boxing match, motorcycles, and probably just about anything else you fancy turning your collective minds to.
jessi,
…from what I hear, Japan is way ahead of us in the robot sex dept. which country had a case recently where the wife was divorcing the husband for cheating on her in a Simms- like cyberspace?
I too got spammed by the short one.
Can someone send the cliff notes version of that email? I’m only up to the second paragraph.
