can anyone be a day laborer?! what exactly do you do? just stand on the corner? and then someone picks you up to do work!? where are these corners? is it a weekend thing? im very interested in being a part time day laborer on the weekends.
Yes Ringo, I’ve seen day laborers the HD all the time. I’ve picked up guys at Church Ave. and McDonald Ave. when I needed some work done. There are also a bunch on Ft. Hamilton and 60th Street, Church Avenue and Coney Island, 18th Avenue and Coney Island, if any of those locations are more convinient for you.
Oh, I forgot to tell you. I was finally successful at baking a really excellent loaf of bread this weekend…hard crust and light & airy inside. I didn’t think it was going to come out because I didn’t think it rose enough, but it was really good bread, like one of the best ciabatta style breads I’ve ever had.
(((((DH)))))
don’t be sad DH. i love you.

CGar, Cdog didn’t protect you?
I’m silently enjoying the discussion about picking up day laborers.
“I really don’t know what I do to provoke people, but I was attacked again this weekend.”
CGar, Were you wearing your “I HATE Cats” t-shirt? ; )

CarGar – Maybe you exude cat pheromones. Were you wearing an undershirt?
