  1. Maundy comes from the Latin for “command” & refers to the disciples washing Christ’s feet after which he issued a new commandment – don’t remember what it was. (Probably had to do w/ new washing machines or contextual bathtubs.)

Hey, thanks Arkady. I never knew where that word came from. I thought it was that Christ washed their feet and that freaked the apostles out. In the Catholic services, you can go to the altar to have someone to wash your feet. I love that part of the service, though I never had the guts to allow somebody to wash my feet, having seriously banged up, funky looking feet. Do they wash people’s feet in Protestant services?

  2. Donatella – did you find Corrine Rossi over the weekend?

To tell you the truth, Corinne Rossi was a real person who terrorized me, but I only saw her two or three times in my life. It was like somebody put a HEX on me, a Biblical style CURSE, that lingered over me freaking me out for an entire summer. So even to this day, she is more like a strange witch that still sort of chills me, but if I saw her now, since I am brave (sort of) I would still KICK HER ASS.
