Dave, if you are too old for a bottle, but not old enough for a cup without a top, you use a sippy cup. It’s a cup with a lid and a built-in straw. Not that gay.

Those plastic cups with lids and/ or handles for little kids, DIBS.
I also sometimes use my stainless steel thermo cup. Looks like I’m drinking coffee!
