Reform school
My brother “ran away” when we were about 7-8 (he’s one year older). He packed a bag and everything, and stormed out the door. I was shocked!
I told my Mom “He’s going!” She said, “Let him go.” I guess she knew he’d be back. And he was, about 20 minutes later. Like Expert, he realized he couldn’t live in the janitor’s room at the local park forever.
I think I was about 5 when I first ran away from home. (As I recall, my parents, brother and sister rushed to help me pack.) I packed my valise, tossed it out my second floor window, climbed out after it (there was a stretch of roof beneath my window over the front door, and then a metal trellis on the side of the house), and I ran across the street to the neighbors’ house.
rf, your friend should have learned about the effectiveness of negative reinforcement instead. Once the kid gets hit by a Fresh Direct truck (or a semi-clad cyclist in an Orthodox section of Brooklyn), he/she will be very hestitant to run into traffic again.
I think there are juvis in NY. My friends that misbehaved got sent to Military school/academy in Georgia and Pennsylvania. Straightened them right out.
Is it ture that my spelling sucks?
Did you take your doll collection with you, CGar???
Is it ture one needs a leash to do it doggy style?
To this day, no one in my family has come looking for me.

“ET, I bet you’d look hot in a studded collar and a leash.”
I do look fetching.
