“besides, Chief Justice of the United States, John Roberts,
would know more about this that the President, and he has already been forced to come out in a statement of this President’s lack of respect for limits of Presidential power.”
Legion, from my understanding, Roberts was bothered by Obama’s lack of decorum in making reference to a recent Supreme Court decision during the State of the Union — this is not the same thing as the concept of presidental powers. Not even close.
Legion you seem to have forgotten that the Republicans have done the same when it suited them, and worse. Both parties have mud on them, some old, some new. The level of outrage and cries of chicanery are all in the eyes of the opposing camp. The Constitution still stands, this certainly isn’t the worst thing that has nudged it on its pedestal. I agree with Pete, Slopey, Arcady and Jessi, of course.
Regarding Tish, I don’t know the details of the case, neither, really, does anyone else. I think she is an effective and active politician who has done more for central Brooklyn and her constituencies than anyone else in modern memory. She’s adopted Crown Heights North’s causes, even though she represents only a small corner of the neighborhood. We call her, not Al Vann(ished) when we need something. I don’t always agree with every position she’s taken, but I don’t have to. In the long run she has done more than all of her colleagues and predecessors for my community, and she remains one of the very few politicians I respect. As I said, I don’t know the details of this case, but I am not going to throw rocks at her.
yeah sally,
leave the cadbury eggs for Easter!
…and order me a few while you’re at it.
those little eggs are damn good.
” we’re trying to have a serious political discussion here and all you want to talk about is dirt and hoes.”
As if we ever talk about anything else! : P

“On serious note, I haven’t been around since working on this HUGE new initiative at work with top management”
Kens, I’m sorry, but your post is terribly garbled. Did you say something about a HUGE top at work???
