more4less, I use that Netflix streaming video all the time. It is wonderful. Perfect. They have 10,000 videos on line, for no more than the monthly fee.
“any of you netflix patrons use the on-demand option to stream videos direct to your home? wanted to know how user friendly it is or NOT”
it’s pretty user friendly – and there are devices now you can buy (certain blu-ray players) that are wifi/netflix enabled so you can stream the videos directly to your television.
there’s a samsung blu-ray player on sale now at best buy for like 180 bucks that does this.
“CH, if I recall Bh likes horror films”
Loves ’em, goes all the time, but not with me! [Real life is scary enough, thank you!]
I’ll ask him about those two. He LOVES vampire stories, so I’m guessing he saw that one. And he loves the kitschy ones that make him laugh.
I hardly go to theaters, wait for BluRay. Haven’t seen Hurt Locker yet. Not sure what the Oscar schedule is but recent movies I like are:
Inglorious Bastards (sure it was violent but war is hell)
Jules & Julia
Orphan
Taking of Pelham 1-2-3
Notorious
Not a long list.

the flicks with expensive special effects and/or the new 3D thing are worth going to the theaters – unless one has a killer entertainmt setup at home

“easier, cheaper, more comfortable, etc. to watch at home.”
That pretty much sums it up for me.
