“What, I would think most people understand what Obama’s inheriting and don’t expect him to be able to turn things around overnight (in fact, if he can do it within one term I think that will be a major accomplishment).”
Biff I disagree with you. When the implosion MAB starts gearing up the sheeple are going to forget who started this mess and beg Obama to do “Something” and when that “Something” doesn’t pan out, they will turn on him so fast it will make your head spin! I think we give Americans too much credit to make intelligent decisions and choices but the whole time they was marching in the footsteps of Greed and delusion.
Dibs – as always, thank you!!!
solid advice and I agree they might just bite at a 15-20% lower offer
just wondering how that nabe is over there… seems a bit light on cafes, grocery stores, restaurants… We have a car so we can always drive over to fairway etc – but if you want the paper, bagel and coffee – wondering where to go in walking distance?!?
anyone live on underhill/washington around atlantic/pacific??
What, I would think most people understand what Obama’s inheriting and don’t expect him to be able to turn things around overnight (in fact, if he can do it within one term I think that will be a major accomplishment). I agree 2009 will be extremely tough, but I do feel better facing the future with Obama/Biden leading than if McCain/Palin were taking the reigns.
BRG, it’s all totally good. How could I blame you for continually copying my hilarious and insightful posts? 🙂
gemini10…if you really like it make the offer…start at 15% or more below ask and include in the offer that it is contingent upon sale of your place. That wouldn’t fly a year ago; in fact they’d just laugh…but this isn’t a year ago. make sure you have a lawyer in the case that your offer is actually accepted. No one is banging down their door to make a better offer I suspect.
“What, I thought you were an Obama supporter. I think his Presidency is one of the things to look forward to and be positive about.”
Yep Biff but Obama will have to follow the playbook. Keep printing money and hope the Mutant Asset Bubble does not explode on his watch (With is a hard thing to do now). I wonder when everything goes south how many “Obama Supporters’ will be there for him, time will tell. My view on 2009 is not good and many people will see that we was in a Depression all along…
random question…
we checked out the open house at 587 washington avenue(the 4 story brick condo) – have to say, was impressed.
the prices range frm 695K(duplex with garage) to $525K for a 2 bedroom without outdoor space…
anyway – thoughts on making an offer that is less than asking price at these new developments?
are they willing to accept offers coming in at 10% less than asking?
of course we would have to sell the house first…. but that’s another story….
