  1. “i think they should just be sold at the flea, not at gatherings. unless it’s like a giant gathering or something. otherwise the bar gatherings are gonna feel like tupperware parties”

LOL, *rob*. I agree. I was thinking of the big CobbleSnaps gatherings – like their upcoming spend-your-tax-refund gathering – not our small impromptus.

    “I consider it a membership”

    Agree, Arkady.

“Drunk fratboys can be a lot of fun.”

    Totally agree, Dave!!

“People are oddly uptight and not particularly friendly though”

Agree with you, too, Snarky. And the Red Sox fans are soooo obnoxious. When I lived there, they broke the New York license plate off my car – plate holder and all!

[Cobble, I’m going now, don’t yell at me. OT is addictive, and I suspect I won’t be posting much for awhile after today.]

  2. I think a little bad behavior is just what is appealing about hockey. Like when they call up a goon in the playoffs and the Montreal papers have the headlines “C’est Guerre!” I’m like, it’s on!

  3. I don’t think so, CH. If you read the story the Olympics people are pretty upset. One of the chicks tried to drive the Zamboni! HA!

Normally I have no problem with drinking and smoking, but in this instance it was not the proper venue.

  4. > SNORT! [scooting over closer to Snarky.]

Hello, dear cobblehiller! Hope you’re doing swell.

I don’t make it to the OT very often, but it’s slow in the office today because of the unceasing sky slurpee.

    Anyhoo, hello!

  5. Thanks again for your notary suggestions everyone. The wimps at Chase and Citi closed their branches early today (at least in Brooklyn Heights), but Sovereign and TDBank stayed open. Sovereign notarized my document, and even though they were supposed to charge me because I’m not a customer, the very nice woman, Laverne at the Montague Street branch, waived the fee.

  6. What DH said. I don’t get to the Flea often enough, so I’ll buy a T-shirt at a gathering.

FWIW, I lived just outside Boston for nearly a year, and I couldn’t get back to NYC fast enough. It’s a perfectly nice (little) city, but just not for me.
