The Commanders House is a treat. A must see. I’ve seen old photos and ariel shots of it.That’s one impressive propery in NYC.
My partner was inside a few years ago and said it is just as nice as one could imagine. I wish he had taken photos. He was doing some work on the house and it would have looked odd for him to be snapping pics.
Thanks Donatella. We’re planning on getting there on the early side. Do you recall approximately what time you were there? We don’t really mind the noise. It’ll be quieter than being at home with Les Champs.
Biff, I went to Vinegar Hill House. It is wonderful. The food is great! I got there early on a Sat with BF and we were seated, no problem, but as time went on, the waiting crowds were intense and it actually got to a point where people waiting were almost hovering around the tables. Very loud too. We both agreed that the food was just awesome; I didn’t mind the noise too much but BF was pretty annoyed.
Paterson is pathetic, good riddance, but I am truly sorry about Charlie Rangel, as dumb and as sloppy as his moves have been. He has done a lot of good things in the house. It is pretty stunning what a slob he has been about his own behaviour — all the rent controlled apartments, the screwed up tax returns. I am sorry though anyway. I always liked the guy and I think he was so often a voice of common sense and a great advocate for NY.
Thanks again, Donatella. By the way, just imagine how much later you would have been there had you been waiting for the cardiologist to pick you up!
Biff, I think it was pretty much when it opened – 7? It was last year in early spring. I bet tonight or tomorrow would be fine with the snow.
Donatella, I feel the same way about Charlie. I’m just disappointed, because I think he’s a genuinely positive force.
As for Paterson, UGH. I had such hopes for him. This is just terrible.

See you later losers. I am going home!

“What do you expect when you use the cheapo knockoff website “Bloggeur””
Snort!
[And a belated thank you, for welcoming me back, infinite!]
“I think when I was in Florence, a guy named Zamboni rode me.”
DIBS, you had a threesome with Florence and Zamboni??
