  1. CGar,
congratulations on the new job. good luck.
maybe your contract should stipulate break times for posting?

    Biff,
Do Not bring anything metallic into the MRI scanning room!
It’s basically a giant magnet like the one’s you used to see in a cartoon.

  2. That was uncalled for Biff. I might actually commit blogicide over that remark.

If i do, i will not be back here for 20 minutes, 2 days, 2 weeks, NOT EVER!!!!!

  3. “Thanks, Cobble, I just spit coffee all over the tent!!”

You’re welcome! I see, it sounds like it was warranted! Good for you, CGar! Meh, 11217 will just have to get over it. How long do we give him til he comes back?? LOL!

Thanks bxgrl, thanks legion! Glad to be back! Missed you guys!

bxgrl, We’ll just start calling you…a mean mean woman! ; )

  4. dh, scored a rez @ 5:30 for Minetta, good thing as it got us out of work early. made rez 3 weeks ago.

andy had black burger, loved it and I got the duck, scrupmtous. Place was packed.

  5. “Biff – Yes, no proscriptions before an MRI. Why are you having it?”

It’s to help get rid of an annoying pain in the neck. I actually thought, rather than an MRI, banning DIBS from Brownstoner would do the trick.

  6. Highlights: House on the water, looking south by southwest at sunset. Mineral springs, fresh cool healing waters. Jerk shrimp with rice & peas. Cutting open and eating fresh coconut and learning to cook Jamaican style. A trip to a friend’s incredibly gorgeous farm, and seeing mango, papaya, banana and guinep trees. Fresh honey dew and cantelope and pea plants in the ground. Goats everywhere, lots and lots of little ‘kids’. Friendly generous people that gave us rides into town. Sun, fresh air, delicious fresh food. Seeing good Jamaican friends down there, and catching up a bit.

Lowlights: 65 year old friend of ours there is diabetic and she got a dangerous nasty scary infection on her left hand. Scared her, and us, half to death. Took her for visits to an expensive [by Jamaican standards] doc in another town 40 minutes away. The hideous word ‘gangrene’ was mentioned. Good news: As we left it was healing very nicely รขโ‚ฌโ€ all very relieved.

There was a short circuit or broken/disturbed ground wire somewhere, it wasn’t really sorted out as we left, and we got shocked a few times! [Yikes!]
